Mulit-box/multi-load loot exploit
" - It does not remotely promote botting. They are two completely different things. Also, botting happens most in P2P games. - Players with above average PCs and better internet can already have an advantage. - The only reason it sparks debate, is because ignorant people like yourself imagine all kinds of ridiculous outcomes of multi-boxing. I have never seen it impact an economy, morals has nothing to do with it, and competitive game play is always dominated by separate people. - Sticking to single client gameplay,(witch GGG can't even enforce btw) is only simple to you because you are over complicating an already simple issue. |

I really think we should wait for a response from GGG and we should all just simmer down here. There are argument for and against multi-boxing and ultimately what GGG says goes.

ok so from other games iv multi boxed in this is how the companys have set it up.
Basicaly if u have multipul clients running but are controling individualy it's fine. I.E. u have 2 screens and operate 2 diffent client with mouse clicks and key strokes to control each client then it's no problem. However if u are controling both clients with the same key stroke , mouse click then it's not fine, and is most of the time tecinacly bannable ( however it is ususaly only banned in extrem cases ) tecniacly most if not all simpile keyboard macros are against the EULA, however it is VERY rare for a company to ban some 1 for this, any third party system that alows the player to change the control system of the game outside of the game options is considered an exploit. However it is very rare to c any company ban for simpil things like this. It dose happen however some keyboards , like the G15 are banned from RTS live turnys. the reson the copanys set up the EULA like this is so IF the player is using macros to control 2 diffrent clients then they can go after u for it using things like this on a singile client are not usualy bothered with. How GGG will do it IDK. however i highley dought they will alow controling 2 clients with 1 key stroke Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time
Learn the rules, it's the only way to exploit them. |

Multibox devs have the chance to potential make more then the POE devs off their own game if this is allowed.

My original concern was players exploiting the group loot bonus by using 1-5 boosters to artificially increase the IIQ. This exploit is very easy to pull off and just as easy to prevent. If GGG limits the increase IIQ like they do for increased XP.
Macros and bots are another story and much harder to deal with. I don’t understand how posters can claim that multi-boxing will have ‘no impact’ on the economy. If player A can use multi-boxing to accumulate 2-6 times more orbs than player B can during the same time period then that will have a real effect upon the game economy. You can gain roughly the exact same rewards as someone who multiloads. It's the same mechanic.
You just have to group up. |

You don’t “gain roughly the exact same rewards” in a group because 6 people are sharing the finite number of mobs. Most zones are linier so there are few zones that allow 6 players to clear solo.
A multi-boxer (exploit) can clear an entire zone start to finish gain all the loot drops and sell/stash/reset at their convenience. Players in a group (non-exploit) have to load up the instance travel apart from each other kill and loot a limited number of monsters. They must time the sell/stash/reset with the other players. People who have an issue with multi-box players have no issue with a group splitting up. It’s absurd for you to claim that a split up group (non-exploit) is able farm as efficiently as a multi-boxer (exploit). IGN: Wrathmar * Paulie * Client

No. It's not.
You don't farm in maps. Cause it costs currency to run them. You don't farm pyramids, cause you can't wear max MF. You don't farm thicket because getting to it is too laborious. You farm fellshrine, since you can wear max MF. It's big, so you can split up. This is why there is always pub parties farming fellshrine. |

If players are able to split up with little to no danger then monsters in a group instance should be buffed.
Not sure of current buff… but for each additional player Monster HP – Increased by 60-70% Monster movement speed – Increased by 2% Monster attack and cast speed – Increased by 4% Monster health regen – Increased by 0.5 % And to help prevent multi-box exploit - Bonus XP and IIQ should only be active if players are close to each other. No, it shouldnt.
You've just screwed over tanky builds even more for starters. As well as the fact, as I've mentioned numerous times. Coordinating with a group to farm requires a hell of a lot.more teamwork than everyone staying with 2ft of each other. Also, your propostion only stops multi loading. Not multi boxing, which is what your thread is all about according to the title. Последняя редакция: SL4Y3R#7487. Время: 24 дек. 2012 г., 09:38:53
