"Desync is a myth, i've never get desynced" they say
"Everything is relative Meat can be considered healthier than vegies in a certain situation Meat has bad press because our body aint meant to assimilate that much, we aint suppose to have so much so easely everything need moderation same with desync sure the game needs security but at what cost, is making the game unplayable for certain people worth it? inb4 the comment: "If it removes you from the game its a cost im willing to pay" ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

" Truth be told, that works both ways. I'm pretty sure a hell of a lot of players see a technical problem with the game and shout DESYNC. The real reason might be their connection, their computer being full of malware and thus choking in FPS, anything really. Of course anyone who knows what desync is understands the difference between these and actual desync, but most of the people complaining on forums have no idea on pretty much anything. |

only play HC/nemesis since closed beta...never once died from desync or had it impact my game in any way EXCEPT in times when MY ISP was having issues...of which i can count those times on one hand.
had it happen on my last wireless sonicwall...ditched it and went back to hardwired. ~SotW HC Guild~

" That's pretty much the best advice that anyone playing any online game could ever receive, especially any fast paced game like arpgs. I've met more than one person who swore their internet connection was terrible, due to packet losses, lagfests, etc. As soon as I yanked their wireless garbage and shoved an ethernet cord into their PC, all problems stopped. Granted, that's not all there is to this game's issues, but in my experience, wireless connections can make even the most solid game play horribly. Последняя редакция: Gallowmere1984#3534. " Desync is here and is a real fact of PoE life. No amount of wishful thinking or QQing will make it go away. We all must learn to deal with it (flame posting for the 1000th time doesn't help) or just be sad and not play. GGG probably will never ever be able to reduce desync without opening up PoE to hacks and cheats to get rich and reach level 100 faster. Anyone who says they haven't experienced desync is either lieing or is just trolling (or both). "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. Desync isn't a myth, it happens sometimes. I've never noticed it to big a huge problem, it's somewhat infrequent for me. I've died to it maybe 2-3 times in a year.
As a non-hardcore player, that's something I can live with. If you play HC, dying once to it is once too many I guess. |

" You are fortunate that you live where your Internet link to a PoE server only causes infrequent desyncs. I live in SW Florida, USA and run my own local ISP so I know I have super low ping times across my wireless Internet to my FPL Fibernet connection to Miami. From there it should be all fiber to the Dallas PoE servers. My PoE pings are always under 100ms (typically 45 to 50ms) and yet I experience desync every time I play. Most of it is of minimal annoyance but it sure is nerve racking and frustrating to play a hardcore league. I don't have a slow computer either. It's a high mid-level performance computer with a dual core (with HT) 3.2 GHz Intel Core-i5 oc'ed to 3.8 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3 1600 ram (2 x 4GB), a 1 GB Samsung SATA HD, and an MSI Hawk Radeon 6870 PCIe GPU. Windows 7 Pro 64-bit runs rock solid steady and I can run it for months and months without needing to reboot so my oc'ing the cpu is 100% stable. Yet since I started playing PoE in November of 2012 (thanks GGG for the CB invite) I have always experienced some level of desync. Mostly minimal but with large mobs or Dominus the desync can and usually increases and then there is Lunaris Temple Kole. He baffles the H out of me because I can kill all the other casters and he'll be the only one left yet he almost always causes major desync and he even appears to desync teleport around for no apparent reason. NOTE: I just wonder if my computer is too fast. I mean, if PoE is running as a client on my end and is also running on the server end to simulate my game session, is it possible that my computer is always getting way ahead of the server simulation and is needing to resync me back to where the server side thinks I should be? " HC players acquire certain ignorance of death at some point. I have maybe 1 (one) extremely serious desyncy situation per level (80+), but pots, logout and CWDT-IC saved me so far. But I don't care. Char will die eventually, I know it. It is simply a matter of time. The point of HC is to die and reroll new char, better than previous one. If you're attached to your char, HC is not for you. | |
