"Desync is a myth, i've never get desynced" they say

Just wondering, Sex... do you keep track of how many replies to your posts have to be edited by support? Do you think that's a good thing?

No. :p The only limiting factor is how fast or slow the data packages travel (and how many get lost and need to be resent). This takes much, much longer than the server takes to process the data. PoE isn't running on the server. The server code is.

You might notice an improvement if you switch to a wired internet connection instead of a wireless one, but the way the game is coded, there will probably always be some desync. All games that don't fully trust the client have that problem, but most games seem to have better prediction and also mask the latency effects better. I'm not a server/client programmer, but judging by the lack of optimization in other areas, I wouldn't be surprised if the netcode is also not well optimized (however, it uses bandwidth very economically).

i dont get edited that much to be honest and when it happens its never a direct insult...
to be honest i dont give a living crap about moderation since i think their are doing an awefuler job everyday, pretty much like how worse and worse is the quality of the content we get since OB

It's not you... you stay pretty clean. It's that you provoke people. Start counting the replies (from other posters) to your posts that get edited and compare it to a random sample of posts.

But its not my goal to provoke and if it was i wouldnt have any credit since people these days are offended by anything and everything.

I got desynct very often, 10 times more often than D3. I am gonna quit playing for a while. Maybe come back to see if it's better. It's just so annoying.
Helpful hints to make desync less annoying: Pause often and wait for the game to stabilize. Don't ever ever click on a moving monster to target it (you have no idea where it actually is). Find skills like traps and summons/totems that actually act and react on the server without checking the client first, and use their reactions to gauge what is really happening in your game. Use /oos BEFORE combat... not after.

Problem is, as you see in the video
-trap is a precision skill, so when desynced you throw your traps "Not where the monsters are"
-Desync happens "In" combat, so yeah /oos before will resync you, from last combat but you will still desync in combat
-yeah pausing often will stabilize the game, but with the easiness i get desync (easier than in the video, 1 monster = 1 desync) the game would be called Pause of Exile
