Interesting! I used to run Vaal cold snap in trigger wand to generate frenzy charge in both mapping and boss fights. Warlord gloves can also roll +1 maximum frenzy I think. I tried SB with "minimal" changes(runebinder, chest gems) in heists and it's surprisingly viable. The skill suits the league mechanism very well - you can actually cast it before door opens and hide. To make the map clear on par with my arc setup though I'll have to change more than that, especially in fully juiced delirium maps.

Just a curious thing: I saw you ditched shield and got another 1h. How's the change in survivability in harder contents? Like, in situations where you'll get hit a lot due to the sheer mob densities.

Also, you might want to consider adding conversion to scale explosion chest :)
I'm a new player, playing on console. I'm not sure what upgrades I need that'll give more a substantial boost in DPS. Any advice, anyone?

Not sure how's trade on console, but if you can find it I'd suggest buying an essence worm and put wrath in it. Remove one unnecessary point near arcane guarding and put that into ash, frost and storm. And trigger wand for QoL(not DPS though). There is a lot of room for upgrades, and I won't be able to detail them here. If you can't find some particular item in trade, or if you encounter difficulties progressing while following the upgrade order in guide, you can ask us again here; we would be glad to try to help. Other than that the guide should help you decide your next upgrade until you reach cluster jewels or so.

The leagues I've done the "end game content" and end game bosses I build a character like this to run low level maps to get chaos. I use that chaos to buy gear for a boss killer build instead.

This is another can of work. I don't like starting again over and over, I had the plan to stay in Standard this league but the build I used what nerfed so badly it become unplayable. And they made a cat as a challenge reward. So unless the next league isn't something outright amazing I don't think I even play it. I want to explore some content of this game I keep skipping because you can't waste time in a league and since doing the story mode take me a reasonable time (I'm not the guy who does speedrun in story mode, it always take me no less than 2 weeks to finish it) doing a build to equip another build ... I don't doubt its a viable strategy but one I don't like. I want to finish the game for once using the same character, especially since I worked so hard to get it here.
goodness I'm starting to understand how to use this build right now, and according to you all this is one is a FRIENDLY build, I don't even want to think about the so-called 10.000.000 damage build.

You state literally a "nothing" argument here when it comes to a "can of work" with leveling a second character. The first character takes awhile to get into mapping for most people. I usually take a good 20 hours played to get into doing up to T5 maps on a first made character in a league. Spend another 20 hours running maps to build up currency. Usually by then I've found a Tabula chest + Goldrim helmet + Lochtonial gloves + String of Servitude resistance belt from Alva temple. With those items I can run any new character up to starting maps again in 5 hours play time. Once you know the game then you should know what you can skip to get through the acts fast and up to level 70 for maps. For example, you don't have to do every side quest, or even enter every zone. Just do the main quest to complete the act and the side quests that get you node points. Nothing else. Don't do crap like the Den for a rare belt in Act 2. Don't do things like run through crematorium in act 3 once you already got the labyrinth trial done. There is no point to stuff like that. It is literally a waste of time. Don't stop to fight every rare elite monster either. Just literally run in a straight line to the next quest item required or the zone exit while blasting away the "packs" of white monsters for experience. If anything takes more than 2 buttons to kill then just run by it. You level far faster doing that and speed run through the Acts.

I can literally run any character build up to level 70 and into T1 maps in 5 hours with those newbie gear items I listed and that speed run play style. The only difference is the weapon I pick for the build really. If melee I go with screaming axes for a good portion. If bow I use quill rain for a good portion. If caster I go with Axiom maces. All those are dirt cheap to get or find. Actually, the fastest way to level any character I have found up to 70 is to use Caustic Arrow or Rain of Arrows + Quillrain bow plus the items I listed above. You don't even really have to spend skill points on making that skill better just to beat Act 10 in 5 hours. Even if you buy all those items it is at most going to cost you 12-15 chaos on any given league at any given time. You can roll any character up to 70 in an after noon of play time.

I know plenty of people that do it and I am talking slow moving filthy casual players like myself. Just for reference I'm a dad of 3 kids that range from 2 months old to 7 years old. I don't exactly have a lot of free time to play like the 14+ hours a day streamers or other hardcore players of this game. I don't expect to reach the same level as they do either. This game is about putting in the time to reach higher heights. There is almost always a lofty goal to reach if you can put in the effort. Yep, you either find the grind fun or you don't. That is how free to play games work. If your goal is to kill Sirius 8 or Uber Elder a few times in a league, it isn't going to be easy for a casual player regardless of the build. If your goal is to beat Act 10 and be done with it that is cool too. I know a lot of people that do just that every league and stop playing. They aren't interested in the map grind and "end game" aspect. To them that isn't fun. They don't play more than a little bit of a league at a time and then move on to something else to play. I've done that as well in the past. Barely did synthesis league, and barely did harvest league as examples. By barely I mean I didn't even do any mapping.

The point of this build is to be an easy to play setup as fast map clearer for fairly cheap. It can be tweaked and tuned to be decent at killing bosses, but it takes a lot to reach that. It takes very little to clear maps though as most of the power comes from the levels of your character and the skill/support gems themselves + the node points. I just made this character two and start running it new. Just beat Act 5 and was pushing 6K DPS with it pretty easy. Should be pushing 30-40K dps when I beat Act 10 which should smoke Act 10 Kitava in mere seconds. That is pretty typical. After that with some slight gear upgrades and levels I don't doubt I can reach 1 mil boss dps pretty easily. I do think without some serious planning and investment I could go much higher than 2mil. The build is pretty similar in that way to my current trickster hexblast build. I was able to reach 3 mil boss dps, but it is rough doing bosses on it. To get higher I need a staff with mods that are darn near impossible for me to find. Maxed out the hexblast build seems to top around 7-8 mill boss dps and that is pretty much good enough for all content. As I said it is rough to reach that. So I switched to a minion build once I got the currency I needed to gear that build out. Now I have a build pushing 12 mill boss dps pretty easily with the minion build. The minion build was MUCH rougher in the early mapping levels. From 70-90 it plain sucked compared to the hexblast build. After that though it took off. I've killed Sirius already with it. I need 1 more fragment to go after Shaper next. I still use the hexblast build for some map clears because it can literally run any map mod being a dot based build. Reflect doesn't do squat to the build unlike my other builds.

I also have fun playing a lot of different builds. I have a cyclone build, toxic rain/caustic arrow build, the golem/zombie minion build, the hexblast build, and now this arc build. I am throwing out my experiences here in hopes of the advice within helps you out.

For reference, I imported your character into Path of Building. I am seeing around 1.65 million boss dps. You should be flying through most maps. To get more dps from most caster builds typically requires more levels on the gems used. For bosses I would ditch the chain support for example and toss in a Controlled Destruction. If you can get an awakened controlled destruction that would be better. Just that bumps you up 1 mill dps.

Nobody does that, most people don't even upgrade it. The guide suggests 20%

Greetings!
Having around 50 Ex currently, I am puzzled on how better to invest them to make my character stronger.
Should it be:
- whatcher eye with both mana recovery + damage taken from mana before life
- or Asenath gloves (which will required boots changed to cover resists)
- or to collect more Ex and to have Awakened Spell Echo?
- or any other better options suggested?
I was never so far in currency to think about these expensive things, so I just not sure what is really helpful and what is rather not...

Aim for 0% and then you use Atziri's Promise for +35% chaos resistance.

What is your HP/Mana/Mana regen at? I had survivability issues until I learned that your mana pool is The Most Important Thing.

Your mana pool gives you arcane cloak, and Mind over Matter, the two biggest things to keep you alive.

Do you wait to cast Arcane Cloak when you're at max mana? If you're casting it when you're low on mana, you're going to end up dead, because it won't absorb much damage, and it will run you out of mana, making MoM worthless.

Do you chain cast Arc until you are out of mana, and then die because you have no mana for MoM? If you run out of mana while casting Arc, you need to lower cast speed (or simply don't spam it) and raise mana regen.

Your gear is completely sufficient to run T14 maps with no issue. But you're not a tank. Play strategically, arcane cloak, and Rumi's before every big pack. Don't stand still and let ranged kill you. This build strives for a lot of block, but you don't want to have to block.

As for survivability improvements,

Try dropping Essence Worm for a ring with lots of mana and mana regen.
Try to get Regen 70% of mana boots enchant.
Get a jewel of Cannot be inflicted by Corrupted Blood for Sirus. It makes the fight so much easier. He's not hard with it. Cast, cast, move out of the way of his attack.
