Am i saying nerf 2 hdrs like they are nerfing mojo/mom/aura? No. All Im saying is they are very powerful if used certain ways and dont need a buff even though they are getting one in fortify.

My current caster is a Shav's low life void battery arcer.
Before that, a CI void battery arcer.
Before that, a low life vaal regalia 75% chaos resist staff arcer.
Before that, a low life vaal regalia 75% chaos resist staff freezing pulser.
Before that, a dual Cybil's Paw Lightning Coil Incinerator.
Before that, a life blood magic staff freezing pulser.
I've had a 6 linked CoD in my stash the whole time. It has never been worn, ever.

Because I didn't jump on the OpieOP fire prolif meta.
99% of the reason EB/CoD/AA was so popular was because of the OPness of fire prolif such as Fire Trap and Flameblast, the ability to completely negate fire reflect and do stupid damage without high % mana reserve.

Only 2 of your builds are possible for people outside of standard or those that can gain considerable wealth quickly, let me remind you GGG balances for the temp leagues much more then they ever do for standard (not that that is a bad thing) so when I asked that question its implied moreso as a question of people that play in temp leagues, not standard where you can compensate for the gear.

In other words, there was no problem with EB.
There was a problem with fire prolif.

You could play any of those builds in a temp league, void battery builds work good with a mediocre rare wand, the staff builds could be Pledge, Taryn's, +3, +2, simple spell damage staff or wand + shield, Cybil's was never that rare, coils drop like leaves in fall, blood magic gems are not exactly rare and stacking life is kinda easy.
I'd even hazard a guess that in many cases gear for non-shav's low life could be looked at as trash and snapped up for a steal, but I dunno how shopping goes.

Honestly, if fire prolif didn't exist, do you think people would be doing EB/CoD/AA and not utilising their mana pool with reservation providing survival and damage?
The route of this conversation was EB needed a nerf because EB/CoD/AA was a no brainer.

It's the principle of Maximus Rektus, whenever thou shalt nerf the anointed scapegoat sacrifice, do so with vengeance. For when revisions must later come to pass, it is far better to gracefully relent a mote upon due reflection, rather than be compelled to nerf once more for good measure.
Note also the related principle of Effektus Rex - the blunter the tool, the more comprehensive the nerf. A precisely targeted nerf runs the risk of overlooking some pesky detail that may permit a remnant synergy to thrive. Laying waste to the entire field insures that taming the most abusive cases will suffice to eradicate all manner of lesser exploits.
