You are fundamentally missing that the game is balanced with rarity in mind. The entire game can be balanced better without it if it was removed entirely or retargeted.

if that would be the case ... by your logic .. they should double the drops at a minimum ... and increase them by 100x at a maximum ... yes the drops are nerfed in order to include "rarrity"... but you feel if you get the same drop in the campaign that you get in t18+ maps is normal ? whay would they exist? everyone would just stay in a straight layout and keep reseting the area !! why would you kill harder monsters / burning ground / curses / extra dmg as chaos / lvl 85 ... if not for "rarrity" and quantity? that makes zero sence ...

I recall D3 also had MagicFind back in 2012. Because D2 had it. But people swapped to full MF gear to kill rares/bosses, it was so stupid that they removed it and applied to rare packs instead - you had to kill 5 packs to get full stacks of MF. And so everyone did just that before starting doing anything else. And that was also so stupid that they removed it altogether. And nobody ask about MF since then.

That's really ironic as an example because from what I'm familiar with Zizaran tends to parrot what his viewers say to raise discussion which is simply the reverse of your claim. I don't tend to watch PoE creators much since I like making my own builds so I don't have the biggest reference to go by though.
Most of my personal, non-parroted, experience with rarity in PoE2 EA tends to lean towards it feeling like another mandatory threshold stat almost like a 5th resistance called "unlucky resistance". I haven't liked the gaps i've experienced between my characters with and without rarity anywhere on gear. I don't really see any actual value magic find adds to a game besides being a crutch for poorly balanced loot design.
Then dude I kinda hate to say it but maybe this genre isnt for you?
Its all about grinding for loot, not just getting it tossed at you so you can look at the pretty numbers.
THats why I suggested D4, it seems more your speed (especailly since you know hate resistance too apparently.

I'd say this genre is for me since I have thousands of hours in PoE alone in the genre before even including other games.
I don't want loot just tossed at me for free. I actually like not needing a loot filter and have been avoiding using one so far for PoE2 and I enjoy it more so far. I just think that a player's gear affecting loot rewards is a net negative considering all of PoE's variables.
You didn't suggest D4 to me that was someone else you were being dismissive of. I just so happened to quote something from that conversation. Also, Diablo is a Blizzard franchise and they can't balance anything worth shit so no thank you. Magic find is a balancing nightmare and GGG adopted it from D2 as an example...
I don't hate resistances at all? You like to put words in peoples mouths a bit too much man. I said a lot of people (which does include me) think that the system is clunky and could/should be updated. There are a lot of topics on these forums talking about related things involving the scaling of player defenses and/or mandatory stat thresholds. I personally have one here if you're interested:

I agree. There have already been tests performed with 0, 100, 200, 300+ rarity... once you get to 100-125 rarity the returns significantly decrease. Thats literally obtainable with 2 items. Next people will cry that they are forced into resistance on gear lol.
actually palsteron made a video the other day complaining about resistances being mandatory ... "there should be area of effect , skill speed , proj speed " somewhere around those lines :)

I would agree this is something for ssf or hard-core, but for trade league this is a toxic thing to exist.
It's litterally a tool for the rich become richer.
This at one point wasn't as bad (d2 days) but now people have made playing their life.
As these people sink 100's of hours get the best gear and flood the market it makes trading directly harder for the more casual players.
Time already rewards them for playing more this is just a reward multiplier for streamers/bots.

and the Quantity bonus introduced by Party play ... that you probably seen Empyrian's team playing with ... but reality is that rarity it`s not broken as they make it sound or look ... I played with 500-600 rarrity and had streaks of 4-5 maps in a row where i was leaving the map with 2 exalts ...I had streak of maps with 2-3 breaches where I was leaving the map with 4-5 exalts ..that is not breaking anything ... ther`s a cap at 100-150 don`t know exactly and everything after that is somewhat useless... what you see when you look at Empyrian is actually 600% quantity bonus for currency from party bonus combined with 100-150 Quantity bonus from tablets ... and propper juiced maps because 6 players and 3 traders can afford to invest in a map almost unlimited resources.... yeah they are juicing ...
don`t believe everything you hear from streamers ... Quantity is the big offender here ... not rarity

I have always hated rarity in these games for my aforementioned statements.

The reason to remove it? lessons learned from D3. Even bizz removed it. Mix maxing has to include MF because trading is the only way to find anything you want. Plenty of lessons learned from D2 and 3 that these devs could revisit.

I don't understand. If you run with "problematic" build/gear, you don't have room for that to improve your build, because you already have problems in killing/surviving. If you run with super build/gear, you can already oneshot anything and run maps in 10 seconds with tons of loot. And then you easily put +100 Rarity to get TWICE as more. That looks stupid.
they aren`t problematic ... it`s a matter of gear progression , how would the game look if they remove rarrity / quantity bonusses and you get in Tier 18+ the same drop in Act 1 ? wouldn`t that be a problem ? why would you ever progress?? you would just find a straight zone and keep repeating it at the maximum speed your build can do it !! and if you have problems killing / surviving then you just need to improve your build and not worry about rarrity ... not the othe way around ...

You basically solved your own problem. Yes, everyone should get the same drops for the same content. Drops should be based on difficulty of content and mechanics you are running.
Removing MF as a factor enables more effective balancing.
Every "good" part of MF just accelerates the league progression and makes early drops worthless faster. This would happen as more people access higher level content anyway.
It's also unfair as it locks certain builds out of the most rewarding content no matter what their clear speed is.
It's a useless mechanic.

Honestly no one should use D3 as a mold for anything unless youre making another gauntlet game. That was an arpg in name only
