Yes. Yes it would. Just as actually applying 3000 Fusings with no result is. Well, the actual application is quite fun, because you have the OOOOooooo Aaaawwwww every time with a possibility of OOOOooooo Yaaaaaaaay, but the acquisition of more Fusings to attempt the next 3000 once already having lost your first 3000 is pretty much the definition of tedious, but also combined with rage. Not sure of many games that rely on the words tedious and rage as their primary selling points.

Could you link to threads were people complain about rich people? I know plenty have complained about RNG and drops feeling useless, but I don't recall reading threads about people complaining about rich people directly. (no sarcasm intended)

Considering that's what, 500 hours of farming, you're going to lose most people after an experience like that. That's like 3 months at a job. Or at least 6 weeks of hardcore playing, and lack of employment. Unless they're using RMT, and will extended their epeen at all costs. Seems excessive.

I actually really like the World of Warcraft "raid item system"


You work hard to kill the boss and clear the instance, and after each difficult boss fight, its guaranteed that a godly end game item will drop.

Obviously the same system cant be added here because POE is not raids where spending tons of attempts to kill the same boss. So this cannot be implemented.

But I personally like the wow loot system the BEST out of all systems.


RNG systems for grinding games can be too harsh on players and TOO generous to others.

Its just how it works tho....

If you want to play WoW go play WoW (just an example). If you want to play Diablo, 2 or 3, go play them. PoE is PoE.

Because items is just means to an end. Mastering your character, the content and realizing a build through trading are both major parts of the game. Neither of those parts rely on rng.

PoE with less RNG dependance would be a better game, in my opinion.

totally agree,

i was just pointing out that i think the effort -> reward system for RNG can be really messed up to ALOT of people. But when they sign up for the game, they should know better what they are getting into..

But there are plenty of times in witch games change drop rates and multiplier etc, but they see how unfair it can be, and sometimes it improves for the best, but at times also can cause other problems.

This isn't a job. This is a game. Games don't use the same logic as real life. In your job, easy is good; in games, easy is bad. In your job, a well-designed process is about efficiency; in games, a well-designed process is about inefficiency.

In your job, having an exacting knowledge of what is required to complete a task is a good thing; in games, it's exactly what a good design avoids.

You want to min/max this? No. Sorry, schemers. Not going to happen. Could get it with your next fusing, could be 3000 fusings from now. You don't know. You don't get, should not get, and will never get a progress bar. That's part of the challenge. Get over it.
