" Not really, physical damage will be better endgame for a number of reasons, while the ele build will do acceptable damage to clear it still will lack the ability to life and mana leech from gear. Although they are adding that belt that provides leech on chilled enemies, there still isn't nearly as many leech options for ele as there is for physical. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

Yeah, they can be relatively comparable at the end game, but (in my limited understanding) people gravitate towars budget builds at the cost of diversity. Making it more of an investment seems like balancing putting it that way.
In a similar way, spells dominated last leagues just because they are more efficient to level with (flameblast/arc everywhere). Add a Forsaken Masters questline https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2297942 Последняя редакция: NeroNoah#1010. Время: 11 мая 2015 г., 11:29:51

" Would it matter what I posted? You are going to read anything anyone writes with your own context. Upset? Just exactly how did you glean that? Try reading what I wrote in different voices, context, the 'upset' was all in your head. I raised two points, that making EB work is of no value whatsoever if it can be done better by not taking EB and that moving RM to Enlighten was a bad change. No upset, feedback. As for EB, I never used it on any caster builds, ever. I used it on some attack builds to varying degrees. As it happens, the build I'm mostly invested in and aim to be in 2.0.0 actually benefited from the EB change. I realised that I could do what I did without it and will now result in having a rather nice amount of ES over life in 2.0.0. The build actually runs 2 50 auras and 2 heralds on mana on beta, and has no need for clarity. I've theorycrafted, in fact, running lvl 25 Anger, lvl 25 Discipline, lvl 26 Clarity, lvl 26 Wrath, lvl 26 HoT and lvl 26 HoI and a lvl 27 vaal aura of my choice WITHOUT using any enlighten gems, they will be a bonus and I have 13 enlightens all levelling right now. Upset? Meh, I'm looking pretty sweet. That doesn't change that both these changes are pretty bad, for many people, many people's builds, many people's play styles and for PoE. Casually casual. With the changes I am seeing in the beta so far you aren't going to want to level as a spell caster, unless you are playing one in endgame, at least I don't think so. We might see the whole searing bond+firetrap+attack to level, it all just depends on the endgame goal I guess.
Many of the "good" spells have been moved to higher level quest rewards, not sure if intentional or not, but they've also increased the level requirement for such gems. Melee got huge buffs, as long as they can get the gems they need early enough there really isn't a reason to not play then first if that is what you want to do, just keep upgrading a weapon by using the phys belt + wetstone + weapon. I've yet to play a ranged (bow) character yet, but I suspect those are still good to play from level 1 into endgame. I know LA got huge buff and the new support gem innervate seems to be pretty good until you get your tree and gear situated. As much as I want to try flameblast after all the nerfs its received its not something I will get to test before the end of the week. We don't really have the numbers to tell what is the most played after the league settles down, gearing for spells current (in live) is fairly easy both defensive and offensive. In beta not so much. Gearing for melee is much harder in live. Its basically to the point in live where you never want to go melee first. With the changes to the different warcrys and "taunts" melee can use fortify buff and taunt enemies to attack them, making melee more acceptable in party play. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" So many things changing in PoE 2.0 aka Act 4 and you are going to complain about 2 things they are testing in beta? First of all how you didn't use EB with casters before I have no idea, I guess if you want to share your build and why it didn't need or want EB maybe that will convince me. Currently its a no brainier, if caster get EB so you can turn your ES into something more useful. Spell caster playstyle is already changing with the removal of shotgun mechanic, I still think some improvements need to be made (some defensive nodes in the top 1/2 of the tree) but this EB change was necessary, do I like the current version no, but its still a long way to go in testing. Aura changes were a good thing. Like you said you've theorycrafted builds that don't need enlighten, I think many other people can as well. But I have a thread on these feedback forums suggesting not using enlighten for this purpose but rather move the remaining reduced mana that we would have gotten from using the RM gem to quality of auras. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285

" Stop it, just stop. Every game company has the 'you'. You think you are helping, you are not. They want feedback, people are giving feedback. Jumping in every thread on the forums in order to attempt to silence people is NOT what GGG want, they want feedback. All you do is stir up confrontation and inevitably turn what is feedback into the non-constructive complaining that you imagined was there to begin with, when it wasn't. Again, stop it. Casually casual.

"Pure, raw hypocracy. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
