That's the point, I was giving feedback. Am I trying to silence feedback? No.
Am I trying to silence someone who continuously labels feedback as complaining? No.

Several people have asked me recently to give detailed feedback of my experience with beta from my play style. I have so much feedback to give, thousands of words, most of it praise for GGG and 2.0.0, but also constructive criticism. I've drafted three times now then thought, sod it.

The goetz' of these boards are why.

Depends, the game offers a few ways to do that outside of ele auras, like facebreakers, pillar of caged god, doomfletch and possibly a few more. Hell, with that new staff we can bypass gem progression too, so I'm assuming that devs want us to have the option on the condition that it's inferior in endgame or restricted in some other ways.

For ele attackers that's exactly the case outside of crit, and crit is slowly going down into the realm of reason with every patch. There's also shock, what I suggested would take away one flat lighting damage source which is an indirect hit to dps of crit ele builds. It would be something like flattening the iceberg, a bit lower but easier to climb.

I'm thinking it's pretty sweet for totemists and trappers, in last 1m league I played SWT without EB and the mana investment was fairly massive besides the fact I needed to leave more mana unreserved to cast the initial two totems and a curse. Such builds have a very high initial cost per encounter but don't need any to sustain dps, so my massive regen I need to have for emergencies was mostly wasted by doing nothing except replacing a killed totem or repositioning.

By the way, placing totems feels pretty snappy in beta, props for that.

They aren't changing it for the sake of changing stuff, but rather because EB (was required for almost all spellcasters) and RM was required for basically every single build.

I don't understand how you're more concerned about enlighten reducing too much reservation per level (perhaps more than a passive node) than about how the current beta reservation costs are not low enough. You actually really feel that auras need the nerf then?

If you feel auras need a nerf then please state that instead of covering it up with the "to reduce socket pressure" bs.

Gotta give OP a hand here for being ballsy enough to call out a GGG dev directly. Also major props for the reminder that us perm players form a big chunk of the player base, who for some reason gets the screw job the most whenever it comes to balance changes.

Although I don't agree so much with your view on RM, I think its best to get rid of it for aura reserve, but also get rid of enlighten being the new RM. The best and most balanced solution is to add or buff aura passives, make them easier to invest for all classes, even add new mods for mana reserve, and reduce aura gem reservation 5% more than current beta. A combination of this will be adequate, IMO.

Many months ago, I summed you up as the type of person who doesn't really think for himself. Instead, I said, you feel a need to be an aplogist for the popular opinion - whatever that happens to be. It seems I may have been correct, because you don't have the courage to put your opinion out there when you know in advance a few people will disagree with it.

I guess this is why you want to silence goetz. You can't have him around if he labels your masterpiece as complaining, can you? What if people believe him? You need to discredit him before he can discredit you.

Look, man, grow a backbone and just say what you believe. Holding back in the name of currating a reputation is for cowards, and people see through it anyways. Give your feedback. I might thrash it after you post it, I might not, but for fuck's sake, would I ever love to be proven wrong about you.
