BTW, i'd tried to farm 10 vaal orbs set and i got 1 card per map for 4 maps with full clear (zero monsters, zero chests left) and zero for next 2 maps so, again, not worth it in time-currency matter, i don't need big sample size to understand how it works, i have 400%+ quantity in summ and i spend over 100 ex to gear up culler, so i expect some farmable return, which game not give me atm, so i just spend my 100 ex and time, that's why i created this topic, to people realise that, to GGG do something about it.
Your time will never be worth it trying to farm a specific thing, ever, especially when randomness is involved.
One could argue you can farm atziri, uber, shaper and it be worth it and that might be true to a point, but they aren't just killing random stuff in order to "get lucky" they are doing a specific set of challenges to do so and expending resources while doing it.
Last I can recall about div cards is they are similar to currency but classified differently, have you tried to find a GGG source that states your quantity works the way you think it does or should?
1. U can't count that losses on uber, shaper farming cos u will get profit every sequence of that runs, so this is how u spend ur time in order to get profit and it totaly worth it.
2. Yes, u totaly right that i trying to get 1 thing out of many many many combinations of things that can drop either and have more chance of doing so, that's why i suggest to different (or add another) mechanic of farming divination cards, so it can be farmable, so people can enjoy this process, make profit that will be a little bit less rewardive as Uber and Shaper farming (as it should be), but another way of gaining real currency in game, another way to enjoy farming in game, enjoy rewards that game gives you while playing, enjoy roll that item got after u turn it set (most of time not) and also make it that way so it will not hurt economy of game cos GGG love trades (players interactions) and economy.

I still think div cards as drops are a foolish plan.
A div card should be something you buy from navali, kind of like a prophecy chain, that asks you to do a sequence of feats to be able to turn in the card for what is written on it. So your build needs a shavs? You buy the offering card from her and embark on a quest to kill x monsters, and these bosses while on low life. Make it flavorful how to fulfill each div card.

I will try to test more divination cards and maybe some of them is really worth time, but i really doubt of it cos amount of examples show that now not a single one worth time.
I will write all my experience in first message of this thread, to make it more filled up with information that might be usefull for guys who want to try this shit out and also for GGG if some of it staff members will ever look at this thread.
ALSO i'd noticed that divination cards drop rate don't change when price of that divination card itself changing on poe.trade, that's another thing for GGG to look up. I think drop rate of brittle emperor should be appropriate of it's current price on poe.trade (even with current unfarmable system it's very LOW drop rate). Cos it feel like they still think it cost 2 ex so drop as rare as 2 ex drop.

That would take far more effort to balance.

Changing npc prices is easy.

This is not a bad idea, will make players actually play to got something for sure, but it will destroy that process of finding things, proccess of farming, that rewardive enought, to keep u continue to earn currency, process that makes u feel u not wasting ur time...

This entire thread can be simplified into one statement:
Divination cards were meant to be a way to "target farm" certain items, at the moment target farming uniques through divination cards is not possible.
What this means: You could spend 10 hours doing high end maps and make 5ex worth of currency, or you could spend 10 hours farming a specific area and make 20c of currency BUT you are "guaranteed" a 1ex item.
Farming cards was supposed to, by the words of GGG, be for farming a specific item you wanted at a slightly less speedy rate than farming currency to buy one. There are people who have killed Voll 6,000 times for the completion without ever dropping a brittle emperor. Even if we were talking about when Voll's Devotion was worth 60ex, it should have dropped at least one card... 6,000runs/60ex = 100runs per exalt, That is an absolutely acceptable.
At the moment, all cards averaged together, cards are probably worth less than a wisdom scroll each.
"But hold on, Diviners boxes make it easier to get cards!" Yes, shit cards, non-target farmable.
The card drop rate is so low that it was cheaper to use 20c to roll a diviners box with a certain roll than to actually farm the area that the card should have dropped in. This is why "drops cards from this area" was taken out of the game, because it made cards a viable way to farm.
At the moment, divination cards are just different currency. You find a card and say "I can sell this for 2c" and don't care about the item at all. Cards with 'expensive' items like Headhunter should be rarer, but please please make cards target farm-able. Even if its map-only drops!

Your ignorance is real on the cards drop from this area. Specific cards were being farmed in zones that posed no threat or used in conjunction with prophecy 36 strongboxes to exploit the ever living hell out of it. Some of these cards give things like koams heart and headhunters, so it absolutely had to be changed because that isn't how they should work. They should be farmable via zone, but not via a rollable mod, thats just an oversight and an absolutely large one at that.
+1 max res kaoms heart was like 200 or 250 in the EHC league because the corrupted cards were so easily "found"
Nothing will EVER be faster then trading, so if course you people complain that you cant farm for cards, but I know people still do.
